Volunteer Opportunities - Luthern Family Services
Mission: No religious affiliation required for clients. Lutheran Family Services' "Fostering Family Strengths" program is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. We are looking for volunteers with a similar dedication who enjoy working with children and families and who are enthusiastic about promoting family strengths. We are currently in need of volunteers to assist with our curriculum-based child care groups. Within our Foster Care Program we are looking for volunteers for our FosterShare program. FosterShare volunteers may serve as mentors, children's group leaders, foster family supports, etc. Volunteers receive training and on-going supervision. FFS provides the opportunity for volunteers to receive hands-on experience using child development and learning theories, make professional contacts, experience an applied model of child abuse prevention, broaden their resume and have fun!
