Our family services programs meet the basic needs of daily life for those without resources to fully provide for themselves. We supply food, clothing, household items, financial assistance for rent and utilities (preventing homelessness) and other necessities normally taken for granted. Whether it is preparing job applications, understanding money management, or providing counseling and adovacy for spousal abuse, the Salvation Army is there to help.

The Salvation Army began in 1865 when William Booth, a London minister, gave up the comfort of his pulpit and decided to take his message into the streets where it would reach the poor, the homeless, the hungry and the destitute.
