Poudre Fire Authority Services

The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for improving fire safety within our community. Our duties include:PFA staff member opening hydrant valve.

• Conducting fire safety inspections of community businesses
• Inspecting all fire sprinkler systems
• Reviewing plans and inspecting the fire suppression systems for all new construction
• Reviewing and issuing permits for open burns and other events that present a fire risk
• Documenting hazardous materials within our service area

The Poudre Fire Authority is dedicated to the protection of lives, property and the quality of life for all of the citizens we serve. Our service area is 235 square miles with an estimated population of 156,608 people for 2001. Our employees are highly motivated, highly trained professional men and women who take their service to the community very serious.
