Other Programs of Jackson County Mental Health
JCMH also offers some specialized treatment programs. The Community Outreach Program serves persons at risk for state hospitalization or jail due to their mental illness. It provides an opportunity to receive services for several months or longer to see what can be done to help individuals become more stable in the community through intensive case management and other supports. The Age Wise, Age Well program provides clinically supervised peer counseling services to senior citizens in the community. The Youth Suicide Prevention program, funded through Garrett Lee Smith grant funds, provides for training in suicide prevention and intervention in schools and community agencies throughout Jackson and Josephine Counties.
