Northwest Colorado BOCES audiology department provides free services to any child in the BOCES school districts from age 0 until graduation from high school or age 21 years in the forms of:

Annual hearing assessments for students identified with hearing loss. This may be conducted at the school or in the audiology sound booth, at the audiologist’s discretion. Those students with medically significant hearing loss are referred for medical follow-up.

Students with educationally significant hearing loss are given preferential seating to minimize educational impact, checked for academic performance, and possible referral for a multidimensional evaluation.

Northwest Colorado Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) is a cooperative service agency authorized under Colorado statutes, serving seven school districts in northwest Colorado. BOCES provides shared services and programs which supplement and support those of the districts.
