Colorado Patient Navigator Training Programs
The Colorado Patient Navigator Training Program is designed to help you and your organization prepare for the growing, new profession of patient navigation. The University of Colorado Cancer Center is the program's lead agency in partnership with Denver Health and the Colorado Community College System. The program is sponsored by the Colorado Cancer, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Disease (CCPD) Competitive Grants Program at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
The training program includes a full patient navigator curriculum with face-to-face workshops, online courses and self-paced online tutorials. This variety of options makes it easier to fit training into a navigator’s busy schedule. Navigators can also receive college credit for courses.
Members of our program team include patient navigators and navigator supervisors, educators, medical experts, licensed social workers, psychologists and evaluators. We work continuously to improve courses to make sure they are of high quality and relevant to situations that navigators face every day.
