Abused Children Services-Larimer County Child Advocacy Center

Provides a child-friendly environment designed to meet abused children's needs for warmth, support and protection during investigation, prosecution and treatment. Our approach includes child protective services, law enforcement, prosecution, mental health, medical, education and other resources in a community response to child abuse. Services include coordination of joint interviews, facilitation of multidisciplinary case review, medical and mental health referrals, assistance in applying for Victims Compensation, victim advocacy, community education and professional training.

The Larimer County Child Advocacy Center is an inspiring example of a successful public/private partnership. In 1994, a community task force began meeting to find a better way to serve children involved in child abuse investigations and their families.
