The Clinic provides free mediation services to people who have a dispute they have been unable to resolve independently including disputes such as landlord tenant issues, neighbor relations, home and car repairs, contracts, issues between roommates, consumer dissatisfaction and many others. The clinic does NOT mediate divorce or child custody disputes or disputes involving amounts over $10,000.

We accept students in their second or third year of law school. Some clinics may have pre-or co-requisites, such as the completion of or enrollment in trials and / or Advocacy. Students appear in court will rule according to the Colorado student practice.

The practice of Colorado Student article allows students the right to appear in court in Colorado as having been admitted to the bar. (Incidentally, this rule was motivated by the fact that the University of Denver Sturm College of Law as it provides legal assistance through its "Legal Aid Clinic" -. Just one more example of being ahead of the curve) This means enrolling in a clinical SLO is how to become a licensed attorney. You will conduct interviews, provide advisory services, and improve their negotiating skills and trial in a royal court (under the supervision of faculty mentor).
