Our General Treatment Approach

Our treatment approach is based on helping clients identify changes they need to make in their lives, and strategies to make those changes. We work with each client to design an individualized plan. Family involvement and community support systems are important resources in achieving treatment goals.

Our staff combines medical intervention with brief therapy sessions to assist in rapid stabilization of mental health problems. We believe everyone can benefit from behavioral health care at different times in their lives. Mountain Crest provides services to patients in northern Colorado, western Nebraska, and southern Wyoming.

PVHS Mountain CrestOur Facility:

Mountain Crest's modern facility provides for a full range of diagnostic and treatment options for adolescents, adults, seniors, and families.

Those options include: inpatient and outpatient programs for teens, adults, and seniors with behavioral health concerns.

We also have a residential program for teens, partial/day programs for teens, medical detoxification for substance abuse, addictive disease programs, crisis intervention, and a team-building ropes course called TEAM Challenge.

In these programs, we accept mental health and substance abuse clients with a wide range of behavioral health problems. Inquiries and assessments are confidential.

Mountain Crest is accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and the Colorado Department of Human Services Mental Health Division.

Program:

Outpatient Clinic Services

Stress, depression, anxiety and life transitions are some of the issues that bring people in northern Colorado to Mountain Crest's Outpatient Clinic services.

Our clinic provides a full range of behavioral health treatment. Psychiatrists are available to see patients for medication evaluations in our Fort Collins office and in outlying areas by videoconferencing.

Adolescent Residential Program

This level of care helps teens who need a longer period of time within a clinical setting away from home. Usually, an extended pattern of problems exists within school, home, self, or peers, and less intensive services have not resolved the problems. The average length of stay is three months. The adolescent attends our certified school during the entire hospitalization.

Intensive Outpatient Program

This service helps adults learn new skills to manage a crisis or stabilize gains following a more intensive level of care. Clients usually attend groups in the evening to accommodate school, work and family life. Programming runs two to four hours per evening for a variable number of days per week. Our core programming for substance abuse problems is within this program.
