Mothers of Young Children

The Mothers of Young Children (MOYC) Clothing and Toy Sale is a ministry of the Missions Department of West End Assembly of God. This bi-annual children?s consignment sale benefits many families in our community who are able to both sell outgrown and unneeded items, and buy gently used items at a greatly reduced price.

Under the care of Women's Ministries, the MOYC consignment sale started in January of 1996. It began with a small handful of dedicated women, determined to make something as simple as a clothing and toy exchange amongst themselves become a vital ministry to the church and community. They had a passion to bless families and a vision for future growth. At the time, we had no idea just what an enormous blessing this sale would become to thousands of people in the future. We are amazed and grateful that September 2009 will mark our 28th sale.

Although the sale has become extremely successful and popular in the community, our goal has never been to make a name for ourselves, but to magnify the name of the Lord! We feel strongly that we are a ministry, and not a business. Our leadership team works tirelessly behind the scenes throughout the year to make sure our sale remains focused on blessing families and helping our community. Our sale is constantly growing and developing. We now have hundreds of volunteers and consignors who work with us to make our sale a huge success each spring and fall. What an awesome short-term missions project for all of us!
