Jackson County's mental health program provides a range of community-based mental health services to the citizens of Jackson County. JCMH provides information, referral and screening for all mental health concerns. JCMH provides immediate crisis assessment and intervention for mental health crises in the community. As the county's mental health treatment provider for the Oregon Health Plan, JCMH also offers a comprehensive array of treatment services to those individuals covered by the plan who have a serious mental illness and are in need of medical treatment.
Access and Crisis Services
The goals of the Access and Crisis program are to provide access to mental health and community resources and to provide immediate crisis assessment and intervention. Immediate crisis intervention and brief crisis follow-up are provided for all clients.
Adult Treatment Services
Adult treatment services include a range of treatment interventions which have been shown to produce effective results. Treatment plans are developed on an individual basis in collaboration with the consumer. Interventions include cognitive behavioral and psychotherapeutic interventions for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorders and borderline personality disorders.
Child and Adolescent Treatment Services
Jackson County Mental Health provides mental health services to children and adolescents with mental health disorders. Following assessment, treatment interventions are identified which can include cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, depression, eating disorders and trauma, and various forms of parent-child and family interventions including Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
Other Programs of Jackson County Mental Health
JCMH also offers some specialized treatment programs. The Community Outreach Program serves persons at risk for state hospitalization or jail due to their mental illness. It provides an opportunity to receive services for several months or longer to see what can be done to help individuals become more stable in the community through intensive case management and other supports.
