Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) of Denver was founded in 1967. The organization’s purpose was to provide quality consumer education and counseling services to members of its local community. In 2006, CCCS of Denver was incorporated into Money Management International (MMI) to meet the growing and changing needs of both consumers and creditors.

Today, MMI is the largest nonprofit, full-service credit counseling agency in the United States. MMI provides professional financial guidance, credit counseling, community-wide educational programs, debt management assistance, bankruptcy counseling and education services, and housing counseling assistance to consumers via phone, Internet, and in-person sessions.

MMI is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA - an independent nonprofit international ac-creditor with very high standards) and recognized as an outstanding provider of quality services. MMI is also a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), and the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies (AICCCA).
