The Denver Office of Disability Rights (DODR) is an integral part/division of the Agency for Human Rights & Community Relations. One of the primary purposes of the DODR is to coordinate and spearhead the City of Denver’s efforts to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Our role is to ensure that all City services and programs are accessible to people with disabilities. The DODR also provides informal guidance and resources as it relates to accessibility and ADA to the private sector.
Denver Commission for People with Disabilities advocates for the civil rights of people with disabilities and advises the Mayor on effective ways the City can serve this population, provides interpreting for the deaf and other services to ensure access to City programs and services and coordinates, along with the Equal Employment Opportunity Office, the City's efforts to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
