Catholic Charities Northern Colorado ofiices' service thousands of people in north and northeastern Colorado each year. The organization serves others regardless of age, faith, race, or social status. Catholic Charities is dedicated to meeting the challenges that confront families and individuals in our community. Our mission is simple: to provide basic services to families and individuals in need, to join with the community, to solve social problems and issues, and to work toward systemic change so that justice is attained.
Caring Hearts - Catholic Charities Northern
Provides respite care or friendly visitor volunteers for seniors one to two hours/week in Loveland and Fort Collins. Volunteers are trained to work with seniors and their caregivers.
Emergency Assistance Program - Catholic Charities Northern
Provides emergency food supplies, and prescription assistance. Food resources are also available for migrant workers. Assists with utility shut-offs (Public Service, City of Ft. Collins, REA, propane) for residents of Berthoud, Loveland, Fort Collins and north to the Wyoming/Colorado border. Also have toothpaste, shampoo and bars of soap.
Guadalupe Center Shelter
Overnight shelter for single men and women and families. The center houses 40 people. Individuals stay up to two weeks; families up to one month. Bilingual staff offer food, case management, counseling and referrals. Bus transportation is available to and from the shelter. Guests find a caring atmosphere in which they can begin to regain their self-esteem and find direction in their lives.
